Gas Bikes – Full Dress!

It was the winter of 2017

I was living in my 29 foot travel trailer in a park next to the quick-stop I was working at, with my daughter. I feel myself getting over the “work’ thing in life. 40 years of hard labor gets to you and 6 hours is about as long as I was willing to give in a day.

Wet dreary days and I spent most of my time inside. So, I got bored and started putting a bike together. I started collecting parts, starting with a new engine kit that came out with electric start and an automatic clutch. I bought 2.35″ wheels from Sturmy Archer. Saddle bags and a reat cargo for battery storage. Blinkers, a tail light and head light. Quite a sight!

Soon I had parts coming from EU! I purchased an expansion chamber for a Puch moped and welded up a header. Next were the ried block and 24 mm flat slide carburator.

I spent more money than I should have, but it was fun! Tpo speed? 40 mph! Don’t ask me to make it faster. I would need more brakes.
